Channel Management

Channels are where work happens in Slack. As organizations and their work grows, they will need to make a series of decisions about who can create and manage channels. For example, will all employees be allowed to create private channels? Some companies may express concerns about allowing all members to create private channels if they fear that work will be hidden behind locked doors. If private channel creation is limited to admins, then members will need to submit a request to admins anytime they need a private channel. Organizations need to consider how to manage workload created for admins. This badge will help Slack admins apply and recommend best practices for strategizing and deploying channel management permissions for their teams and organization. With this badge, you'll demonstrate expertise in channel management in Slack, including: Explaining how different channel types work in Slack. Applying and recommending channel management policies and settings. Identifying API solutions based on need. Applying channel management best practices across common use cases and needs.
